Our economy is increasingly dependent on raw materials from the rest of the world. A circular economy is needed to increase the supply security of raw materials in the short and medium term, thus contributing to the future of the Dutch economy. Reuse, repair, borrow, share, etc. contributes to less dependence on countries such as China and Russia. In addition, a circular economy is crucial for reducing our energy consumption and emissions, better air, water and soil quality, less waste, conservation of natural resources and biodiversity.
People everywhere are looking for words to explain what a circular economy can achieve. While circular economy is an answer to many of our societal problems. And because a picture says more than a thousand words, Circularities has created an infographic of a circular example project. This shows you at a glance what it delivers when we work together in the Netherlands. It is a project that is already being implemented in several places and is scalable.
